AU WCL Jewish Law Students Association
The Jewish Law Students Association (JLSA) provides a forum for Washington College of Law students to share and discuss issues of concern to today's Jewish law students. JLSA's programs reflect Jewish academic, social and cultural interests. JLSA provides speakers and other events that present Jewish and Israeli perspectives toward legal, political and other significant issues. The group also hosts social events for Jewish law students. The Israel and Law Society (ILS) aims to educate the community about Israel's steadfast commitment to progressive principles of law, namely the balancing of national security concerns with the human rights of all peoples. In conjunction with this objective, ILS supports a strong U.S.-Israel relationship and recognizes that the only path to Middle East peace is the assurance of a safe and secure Israel situated side-by-side with a viable Palestinian state that condemns terrorism. The Graduate Leadership Council (GLC) fosters interaction between graduate students through community service, as well as social and academic events. GLC provides a voice for graduate students through our representation on various university committees and by advocating students' interests to the administration.
