From the North: Take 495 to exit 30, Colesville Road South.  When Colesville Road ends, make a left onto 16th St, NW.  Make a right onto Military Road.  Make a left onto Nebraska Ave, NW.  American University is located at the intersection of Nebraska Ave, NW and Massachusetts Ave, NW.  Park in the pay parking lot located on Nebraska Avenue, the entrance is located by making a left onto New Mexico Ave, NW.


From the South: Take I-66 W to exit 73 toward Rosslyn.  Turn right onto US-29 North, following US-29 as you enter the District of Columbia.  Make a right onto M St, NW, continuing onto Canal Road, NW.  Continue on to Foxhall Road, NW.  Turn right onto Nebraska Ave, following for about half a mile.  American University is located at the intersection of Nebraska Ave, NW and Massachusetts Ave, NW.  Park in the pay parking lot located on Nebraska Avenue, the entrance is located by making a right onto New Mexico Ave, NW.

American University is located off the Tenlytown metro stop on the Red Line.  The University operates a bus which can take you from the Metro to campus.  The buses are located off the Tenleytown Metro stop, behind the Whole Foods  (Turn left after getting off the long escalator or elevator).  It is about a 1 mile walk to campus from the Metro.
